As I publish my book, and this website – and with them both, the launching of the work and joy-filled adventure that I will be doing in the world, it is a time of great beginning in my life. And so, my thoughts are on the beginnings and transitions that we all have in our lives. Sometimes we begin new directions out of passion and excitement. Other times a path that we have depended on now presents us with a closed door in our way – leaving us having to figure out what we are going to do next.
Regardless of how new directions come to us, they always present us with great opportunities. There are new experiences to be had, new things to learn, new ways of being in the world, new people to meet, a new chapter in our life to write…and a great unknown to face – many emotions all at once. With each new road ahead, we have the choice of whether to fight and resist a change we don’t like or to accept and be in the magical unfolding flow of what the universe is presenting us with. Whether we find joy or struggle on our new path depends on how we bring ourselves to the experience.
Every new adventure we face in life is an opportunity to shed baggage that we have carried with us in the past – baggage that has burdened us and worn us down. In leaving such burdens behind, we learn to live with greater joy. In this process we progressively become more of who we really are, and less of who we are not. By setting aside masks we may have worn to hide unhealed parts of ourselves, we begin to live more authentically – more aligned with the real truth – the divine truth of who we are. And in the process we find peace, fulfillment, and success.
Whatever your new beginnings or transitions happen to be in your life, may you see them as gifts to help you to unwrap a more beautiful, more liberated, more expansive, and more empowered version of yourself.
